A triptych story across the ages, with a kaleidoscope epilogue that falls off the edge of the universe. Supercomputer HAL presents a dual villain who is working to survive like everybody else. We don't know if somebody programmed him to be that way or... Also what is the monolith's motive? The film's philosophy is an optimistic conclusion to the beast of monkey to man. Infinitely stones unturned.
