Belonging to the Internet, Netflix films tend to dish out a lot of gratuitous sex and violence to stand out as hosting films too hot for premium TV or the theater. Beasts of No Nation is not necessarily a gratuitous film, but it goes further into disturbing territory than any other film about child soldiers may have dared. The film doesn't preach, it just shows the world like it is. You decide.
