オースティン・ウィントリー : ウィキペディア（Wikipedia）
オースティン・ウィントリー（Austin Wintory、1984年9月9日 - ）は、アメリカのゲーム音楽および映画音楽の作曲家。ゲームソフト『風ノ旅ビト』の楽曲などで知られる。
経歴
1984年にコロラド州デンバーで生まれる。10歳からピアノを習い始めるが、彼の音楽教師が作曲家のジェリー・ゴールドスミスの作品を紹介したことをきっかけに自身も作曲家を志すようになる。16歳の時には、彼が制作した小品『Spirit of the Cosmos』をの楽団が演奏し自身が指揮を担当、2年後にはユタ交響楽団による演奏も行われた。
南カリフォルニア大学に在籍時、後にゲーム会社thatgamecompanyを設立するメンバーたちと出会い、ゲーム音楽の作曲を開始する。thatgamecompanyが開発した2012年発売のゲームソフト『風ノ旅ビト』における楽曲はなどで多数の賞を受賞し、第55回グラミー賞では主に映画音楽を対象とする「Best Score Soundtrack For Visual Media」部門でゲーム音楽として初めてノミネートされたなお、グラミー賞では第65回よりビデオゲームのサウンドトラック部門が新設され、これ以降もウィントリーの作曲作品がノミネートされている。。
ゲーム音楽のほか映画音楽も多数手掛けており、アミン・マタルカ監督の映画『』は2009年開催のSammy Awardsで楽曲賞を受賞している。
