El Planeta is a modern Spanish version of Godard's Vivre Sa Vie with a mix of Greta Gerwig's lighthearted comedy and Sophia Coppola's charm. The film is absolutely stylish in its own way, and the plight of the characters is low-key self-inflicted fun. It could be an episode from Paris 13th District, and the love plot unfolds like two Napoleon Dynamite characters after a long stint in the city.
