This Russian black-and-white tale of a political massacre in the 1960's feels relevant in the age of shutdowns and surveillance identification; not to mention the event takes place only a few hours drive from Mariupol. Disgruntled factory workers meet their demise when the KGB steps in, and a socialist-loyal official finds herself at the brunt of the disappearing act. Slow but terrifying.
